Easy chicken wrap recipe using rotisserie meat, bacon, ranch, cheddar cheese, avocado and pico de Gallo (or tomatoes).

When you want a tasty and quick meal, chicken bacon wraps will save the day! To make these wraps as easy as possible, I use shredded rotisserie or deli chicken. If I have time to spare, I also make my own pico de Gallo and ranch dressing. You can use store-bought ranch dressing and sliced tomato instead if you want to save time.

You can also customize the chicken bacon wrap recipe by adding or swapping ingredients. I have provided some suggestions below. These chicken wraps can be made in minutes if you use store-bought rotisserie, ranch dressing, and tomatoes. This recipe makes only two chicken bacon wraps but it can be easily multiplied.

How to cook Crispy Bacon

In the Oven

It’s my favourite method to cook perfect bacon each time! Then I line a baking tray with foil and lay the bacon strips across it, leaving some space between each one. The oven should not be on yet. Place the baking tray in the oven and turn it to 375 F. Cook for 15 minutes or 20 minutes depending on whether you are using thin or regular bacon strips or thick-cut bacon. Then, transfer the bacon to a plate covered with paper towels.

In a Skillet

Place the bacon strips in a skillet that is cold (cast iron or nonstick works best). Turn on the medium heat under the skillet and cook the bacon until it is browned and sizzling. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Then flip it over and cook another 4-5 mins until you get the desired crispiness. Transfer the cooled burgers to a plate covered with a paper towel.

How to make chicken bacon wraps

Place two flour tortillas on a flat, even surface.

Place one large (or two smaller) leaves of green leaf lettuce or romaine in the middle of each tortilla. Divide the shredded chicken rotisserie over the lettuce, creating a line down the middle of the lettuce.

Then drizzle the ranch dressing on top of both wraps.

Divide the tomatoes and bacon evenly over each wrap.

Add green onions (red onions also work) to the top of each wrap.

How to fold a Chicken Bacon ranch wrap

This is the simplest way to fold the wrap so that the fillings do not fall out the ends.

Fold the sides inwards. You can tuck your thumbs under the part of the wrap that is closest to yourself.

The curve of the other tortilla should match the curve of your thumbs. As you roll up the tortilla, keep the sides tucked.

The tortilla will help you to trap all the fillings inside the wrap. Close the wrap by rolling it up, and then cut it in two keeping it seam-side down.

You’re done! This is not the most complicated way to wrap a tortilla, but it works!

Tip + Tricks

Rotisserie Chicken

Find an “original” flavour rotisserie. While some stores sell rotisserie chicken with flavours (such as Cajun spiced or lemon pepper), the flavour will not taste good.

You can also use shredded chicken that you have made yourself. I suggest using skinless, boneless chicken breasts, seasoned with pepper and salt and grilled at 165 F. Allow the chicken to cool for 15 minutes before shredding. The chicken will taste so good after grilling. It is perfect for the chicken bacon wraps.

You can also use leftover cooked chicken, such as chicken thighs or breasts from another meal.

Use leftover fried or crunchy chicken to make crispy chicken bacon ranch-wrapped! There are endless possibilities.

Cheeses

You can use any cheese that you like in these wraps.

Ranch Dressing

This recipe for Small Batch Restaurant Style Ranch Dressing is thick and herbaceous. It tastes SO good in these wraps. The dressing is ready in five minutes but it really benefits from being covered in plastic wrap and placed in the fridge for an hour. You can use your favourite ranch dressing from the store to save time!

Greens Options

You can use any greens you like. You can use chopped romaine lettuce, baby arugula or massaged kale. You can use any leafy green you like!

First, I place a layer of greens to create a barrier between my creamy ranch dressing and flour tortilla. You can prepare these in the early morning and take them to work for lunch. This is a great recipe for busy weekdays.

Additional Topping Variations

This easy chicken wrap recipe allows you to use any fresh vegetables that you like (or need before they spoil). You can use bell peppers or shredded carrots. I also recommend thinly sliced pickled red onion, cucumbers and jalapenos. You can use whatever you like! Add a few dashes to your favourite hot sauce if you want it spicy.

Tomatoes

Heirloom tomatoes or Cherry Tomatoes are my favourite year-round because they have the most flavour. Roma tomatoes would also be a good option. One Roma tomato is enough to make both wraps.

Pico de gallo is a great alternative to tomatoes if you want more flavour! Pico de gallo consists of tomatoes, garlic, onion, jalapenos and cilantro. It is also seasoned with salt and pepper. Fresh pico de Gallo is available in many grocery stores but can be quite expensive. You can make your own pico de gallo at home. I’ve got a recipe!

Your favourite salsa is another alternative to tomatoes. This will add a fresh tomato taste, as well as a little more flavour. It’s much faster to spoon salsa on top of these wraps instead of chopping tomatoes.

Why You will love these Chicken Bacon Ranch wraps

These wraps are awesome for a number of reasons. These wraps are easy to make, full of flavour and perfect for a quick dinner or lunch!

You can make these easy wraps ahead and have them for lunch the next day. We’re always on the lookout for easy dinner ideas, and chicken recipes are our favourite. It’s one of our favourite new recipes, with its simple ingredients and great flavour. You can customize the wraps for picky eaters.

These wraps are best eaten fresh. If you want to meal prep, you can make these wraps without adding the tomatoes or ranch (or use pico de Gallo if that’s what you prefer) and store them for up to 3 days in freezer bags. If you make them too early, the tomatoes and ranch could become soggy. Add them the morning of or just before you plan on eating them.
