Baked Chicken with Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • A can of Chicken Soup (10.5 ounces) makes one serving.
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • One (1.4-ounce) packet of French onion soup mix
  • Black pepper, freshly ground: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mixture of savory herbs for stove top stuffing, 6 oz.
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 5 tablespoons of butter, cut into 8-10 pieces
  • As needed, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F). Grease a casserole dish lightly and arrange the chicken in one layer.
  • In a large bowl, combine the soup, sour cream, and onion soup mixture. Spread evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with pepper.
  • Mix stuffing mix with chicken broth in a large bowl. Spread the stuffing mix over the chicken, and then top it with butter pats.
  • In a preheated oven, bake for 50-60 minutes until the chicken is golden and bubbly and no longer pink in the middle. The instant-read temperature of the chicken in the middle should be at least 165°F (74°C).
  • Sprinkle with parsley. Place the chicken and stuffing onto individual plates, and then spoon about 1/4 cup gravy over.
