Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- A can of Chicken Soup (10.5 ounces) makes one serving.
- 8 ounces sour cream
- One (1.4-ounce) packet of French onion soup mix
- Black pepper, freshly ground: 1/2 teaspoon
- Mixture of savory herbs for stove top stuffing, 6 oz.
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 5 tablespoons of butter, cut into 8-10 pieces
- As needed, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F). Grease a casserole dish lightly and arrange the chicken in one layer.
- In a large bowl, combine the soup, sour cream, and onion soup mixture. Spread evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with pepper.
- Mix stuffing mix with chicken broth in a large bowl. Spread the stuffing mix over the chicken, and then top it with butter pats.
- In a preheated oven, bake for 50-60 minutes until the chicken is golden and bubbly and no longer pink in the middle. The instant-read temperature of the chicken in the middle should be at least 165°F (74°C).
- Sprinkle with parsley. Place the chicken and stuffing onto individual plates, and then spoon about 1/4 cup gravy over.
